Lessons From a Diabetes Diagnosis

I only had a small broken bone in my left hand. The diagnosis of diabetes, however, was devastating and was confirmed by the doctor who examined me. He prescribed [hysiotherapy on my arm. The good news was that my hand was not operated on! But the thought of having to deal with diabetes was worse.

It meant hassle-free doctor visits and expensive insulin prescriptions, determined to avoid that fate. I researched diabetes and found that it can be reversed. Studies have shown that it is possible, with diabetics recovering and losing weight in the process.

I was going to reverse my diabetes and started learning about healthy foods like spinach, kale, and oranges. My education has begun /

Eat plenty of green leafy vegetables every day. I decided to eat salads for lynching. The other ingredients were egg salad and lettuce. Like a diabetic. I could eat tuna and salmon (free-caught), and drinks were lemon water, coffee, and green tea.

Avoid doughnuts, chips, soda, orange juice, pastries, sugary cereals, pizza, and ice cream. And even though longing was little talked about, I experienced it anyway. No more donuts! Instead, focus on a plant-based diet. At first, I suffered a lot of cravings, but I switched to nuts like almonds and walnuts as snacks and reduced the cravings. I indulged in vanilla ice cream or a slice of pizza, but I didn't eat these foods every day/

Try eating healthy foods that you never ate when you were young, I never got fresh spinach at home. My dad used to open canned spinach and serve it to lynchings. I hated it and tried to feed it to the cat, who refused it too. I also tried and liked broccoli and sweet potatoes, which I liked and added to my diet, I still have to try to eat avocado, every day. And I'm not a fan of fish,

Stick to the healthy whole grain foods you love and avoid fad diets like paleo and keto/ Now paleo and keto have their good points but they are rather restrictive, I tried the keto diet for a week but didn't care, many of her favorite foods and stopped a few days later.

Opt for eggs for breakfast as they will fill you up. Scrambled eggs or omelets are always a good choice. I was having coffee and a fresh orange, which did not meet me at all.

Be sure to exercise every day, even with a long walk or bike ride. Walking is ideal. So is running. Both activities are good for the heart.

I am working on reversing my diabetes, but I have more energy and have slimmed down. I fit into a size 12 and eat whole foods. Okay, I enjoy a donut or a few fries now and then, but I don't eat them every day/ I've also enjoyed my adventure in eating a variety of healthy foods. My blood pressure dropped.
